International Social Work Month is celebrated every year in March.
The National Association of Social Workers mentioned that the theme for
Social Work Month 2023 is Social Work Breaks Barriers.
With the Theme “Social Work Breaks Barriers” Dube & Pottas Inc are celebrating our Social Work SUPERHEROES! As that is exactly what a Superhero does, they break barriers.
What is the true meaning of Superhero?
A fictional hero having extraordinary or superhuman powers. Also: an exceptionally skillful or successful person compares superheroine, supervillain.
So therefore the ‘Superhero’ Theme is a metaphor for the amazing work all Social Workers are doing on a daily basis and superpowers refer to ‘the skills’ that they empower their patients or clients with.
During Social Work Month take time to learn more about the many positive contributions of the profession, and celebrate all the Social Workers you know.
